Ramon Sosa has officially signed terms with Nottingham Forest, ending the summer’s longest – and most dull – story.

The 24-year-old Paraguayan trickery has landed in Nottingham to adapt to the Premier League after shining in the last Copa America.

Sosa has signed for a cost of around £11 million from Argentine top-flight club Talleres.

He normally operates on the flanks, but he can also work through the middle, which gives Forest options.

With the changes in yesterday’s 1-1 draw with Bournemouth having little impact, Sosa will undoubtedly add something to the squad.

What Nuno Espirito Santo stated about Ramon Sosa.

Espirito Santo was not satisfied with a point against Bournemouth, since Forest dominated the first half.

Chris Wood scored for the Reds, but they were forced to settle for a draw after Antoine Semenyo equalized four minutes later.

After the game, the head coach was asked about Sosa, and he’s excited to see what he can offer to the team.

The Portuguese manager told the official website, “He can bring us various things on the wing. He can play both sides and is a talented player.

“You can see from all of the Premier League teams that players that come in require some time, because, like us, the roster is full of talent.

“He has to work really hard to get in the team, and we are here to support him.”

Sosa needs time to adapt, but he should start for Forest.

At 24, Sosa appears to have a good profile for joining at Forest, and the transfer strategy appears to be on point this summer.

The guy isn’t a complete novice; in Argentina last season, he scored seven goals and assisted six times.

Sosa can provide an option on either flank or through the middle, and having a young, hungry footballer in reserve can only be beneficial.

Paraguay underperformed at the Copa America, although Sosa drew the eye with a number of strong displays, including a goal.

The Reds appear to have signed the Paraguayan at the right time, and maybe he will help Forest get off to a strong start this season.
