Nuno Espirito Santo, Nottingham Forest’s head coach, has provided an update on two of his best players following the Reds’ draw with Wolves.
The Reds needed a win at the City Ground, but were denied by two goals from Matheus Cunha, who had a good afternoon.
Forest scored through Morgan Gibbs-White, who celebrated in front of the Wolves fans, and Danilo, who added another goal to his tally.
The Reds will need to improve slightly against Everton next weekend, and the game appears to be hotly contested.
After the game yesterday, Espirito Santo provided an update on two of his injured players, with the hope that they will be on the mend shortly.

When it comes to injuries, Forest gets a lot of them. Yesterday, Anthony Elanga joined Taiwo Awoniyi on the treatment table, leaving the Reds without him.
The speed demon had a small injury, and it was unfortunate that Elanga was unable to play against Wolves. Using his pace could have been excellent against a team prone to counter-attacks.
Following yesterday’s game, Espirito Santo was on hand to deliver an update on the injured duo, which might be good news ahead of a challenging trip to Everton next week.
He told Nottinghamshire Live: “We’ll have to wait and see.” Individually, Elanga and Awoniyi are making progress, but they were not available today. “Let us wait for the next one.”
Elanga has 13 goal contributions in the 2023/24 season. He was signed from Manchester United for £15 million and has shown to be excellent value.
Awoniyi has 6 goals to his name. He signed for Union Berlin for £18 million, but injuries have prevented him from making an impact this season.
Forest needs both players to be fit for the upcoming week.
Yesterday, the Reds badly missed Elanga. His pace may have caused problems for Wolves, but they were unable to deploy the in-form player.
Awoniyi’s season has been plagued by a lot of issues, and it was unclear whether he would play again this season.
However, this appears to be a positive news, and both players should be available for Everton.
The duo is critical to Forest and their fortunes this season, as survival is far from guaranteed.
Both Elanga and Awoniyi will be hoping to be healthy for next week, and the Forest squad will benefit from their presence.
