Willian Pacho of Frankfurt is one alleged target that Liverpool looks poised to miss out on.

It is currently believed that the Ecuadorian is receiving medical care from PSG. Florian Plettenberg of Sky Germany claims this morning on X (previously Twitter) that the defender would thereafter sign a long-term contract that will keep him with the team through 2029.

As recently as last week, Miguel Delaney of The Independent reported on the club’s long-standing interest in the Bundesliga prodigy, indicating that the Merseysiders were reportedly considering signing him.

What defender is Liverpool able to sign?

Marc Guehi of Crystal Palace has been the subject of much speculation, but it appears Newcastle United has already outpaced the England international this summer.

In addition, The Mirror claims that although the Reds supposedly inquired about the Premier League center-half back in March, they have yet to formally declare their interest in the player.

Other options might be Arthur Theate of Stade Rennais, Piero Hincapie of Bayer Leverkusen, or Goncalo Inacio of Sporting Lisbon.

When the chance presents itself in August, our recruitment staff will have no trouble choosing from among the many possibilities available.

Other: Martin Zubimendi is praised by Fabrizio Romano

If he agrees to a move, Fabrizio Romano provided some intriguing insight into what our probable first summer window addition will offer to Liverpool.

“Let me start by saying that this will be an amazing signing. This midfielder is unique. His mind works differently. We belong to the highest category possible,” the Italian said on his YouTube page.

“We witnessed his quality in the Spanish national team – a good player,” said the person who played for Real Sociedad in the Champions League the previous season.

Although the Reds haven’t finalized the specifics of a move yet, Martin Zubimendi is reportedly amenable to a summer departure.
