A top-flight club is “looking” at a Leeds United kid who recently played in a friendly against European opposition.
A Leeds United kid played against European opposition for a top-flight club that is “having a look” at him during a winter training camp.
Kris Moore, a 20-year-old Whites defender, is now on trial with Scottish Premier League club Hibernian, who are on a winter training camp in Dubai before returning to action next weekend against Forfar United in the Scottish Cup.
Hibs faced Swiss side Servette in a friendly on Friday, and Moore started at right back as part of a lineup that included ex-Leeds forward Adryan, who is also on trial with Nick Montgomery’s side. Hibs were defeated 5-1 in the match, and Montgomery spoke with both Moore and Adryan afterwards.
“We’re looking at Kris Moore, a young defender from Leeds,” Montgomery told the Hibs Observer.
“I didn’t think we had enough bodies to come to the camp, but it was a fantastic opportunity to see him at right-back with Lewis Miller gone and only young Rory (Whitaker) otherwise, so it was good for him and Kanayo (Med) to get some minutes.
“Adryan is a Brazilian player who’s been out of the game for the last couple of months due to a family situation but he’s been training in Dubai and we thought it would be a good chance for him to train with us so we could have a look at him.”
