Joe Rodon has expressed his feelings following Leeds United’s exciting victory on Friday.
Joe Rodon, a Tottenham loanee, has made a Leeds United proclamation following his side’s remarkable victory over Championship leaders Leicester City.
Leeds and Rodon experienced a laborious first half in Friday night’s top-of-the-table duel at Elland Road, with Wout Faes putting the Foxes ahead in the 15th minute.
United were unable to answer, and centre-back Rodon was booked in first-half stoppage time as Enzo Maresca’s visitors grabbed a 1-0 lead into halftime.
Leicester then had several chances to put Leeds away after the half, but Daniel Farke’s side drove Elland Road into a frenzy by scoring three late goals to secure a dramatic 3-1 victory.
Rodon, who has consistently shined this season, remained on the pitch for the entire game, surviving the tightrope of his yellow card before professing his feelings for the Whites.
Rodon shared a photo of Leeds United’s inaugural full-time social media post with the words ‘love this team’ alongside the Leeds colours of a yellow circle and blue heart on his Instagram story.
The 26-year-old Wales international joined Leeds on a season-long loan last August, and Friday night’s game was the defender’s 20th consecutive league appearance.
Rodon has now appeared in all 23 of United’s league and cup games, totaling 34 appearances for Farke’s team and 2,944 minutes of sport.
