Earlier today, we highlighted multiple claims from Italy indicating that Tottenham Hotspur are in pole position, despite Bayern Munich entering the fight for Genoa’s Radu Drăgușin.
It was also said that the north London team has made an official offer to the Serie A club, which is likely to accept the deal.
Florian Plettenberg, a Sky Deutschland journalist, took to X, previously Twitter, to provide an update on Tottenham’s and Bayern’s struggle for the defender.
He claims Ange Postecoglou’s team and Genoa’ reached a comprehensive deal’ on the 21-year-old’s transfer ‘this morning’.
The journalist says that Spurs have offered Genoa €25 million plus bonuses, and the Romanian international is expected to sign a contract with them until 2029.
As of now, there has been no official offer from the Bundesliga winners. Plettenberg believes the Bavarian club must act quickly if they want to retain his services. If not, Drăgușin is set to join Tottenham on a contract that will last until 2029.
Gianluca Di Marzio, an Italian journalist, believes Genoa waited for Bayern’s offer, which has yet to arrive. As a result, they’ve decided to go with Tottenham.
Whether Bayern’s interest was genuine or not, it appears to have had the desired effect of pressuring Tottenham.
