‘This kid has some stuff’: National media left purring over £900k Leeds player last night

The international break came at the wrong time for Leeds United, who appeared to be gaining momentum in the Championship.

Before the international break, Daniel Farke’s side thrashed Hull City at Elland Road.

Mateo Joseph and Joel Piroe scored goals to secure the win.

The victory wasn’t the only takeaway from the game; a handful of Leeds United’s new additions shone. Manor Solomon and Largie Ramazani shone brightly, and the former even contributed an assist.

Many believed that Crysencio Summerville’s departure would have a significant impact on Leeds’ creativity in the last third, but Farke found a way.

A key player in the final third made a significant contribution for his country last night.

Mateo Joseph gets praised by Spanish media for his goal in Spain Under-21s’ match against Scotland Under-21s.

Mateo Joseph has been one of Leeds’ bright spots this season, with a goal and two assists already in the Championship.

It looks that his form has carried over to the international scene. He was at it again in the second half for Spain’s Under-21 team, finishing cleanly from a cutback to secure the victory.

This prompted Spanish TV network Teledeporte to share footage of the goal with the caption, ‘This child has some stuff’.

The Spaniard, who joined Leeds for £900,000, came on in the 66th minute and had an immediate impact, scoring just over two minutes later.

What are Leeds’ next three Championship matches looking like?

Leeds have a challenging run of five Championship games after the international break.

The first match is against Scott Parker’s Burnley, who are only one point below the Whites.

The following five games aren’t easy either, with Cardiff City, Coventry City, Norwich City, Sunderland, and Sheffield United all on the schedule.

This next period is critical in Leeds’ promotion campaign. A poor sequence of results leaves them with a lot to do, despite the fact that the season is still in its early stages.
