So far, Liverpool’s players have adjusted to a new manner of working throughout preseason.
Everyone at the club, from experienced first-team stars to youth players, was familiar with Jurgen Klopp’s techniques.
Whatever Klopp and his coaching team were doing was clearly effective. Liverpool enjoyed tremendous success during the German’s tenure at the club.
However, change can often be beneficial in sports, and it may be nice to have some new ideas at the AXA Training Centre.
Slot has surely brought them. Curtis Jones has praised the new head coach, and Mo Salah is said to be equally satisfied.
Adrian reveals Mo Salah’s discussions
One of the most difficult problems Slot will face at Liverpool is bringing the best players in his first-team group on board.
Klopp brought them all to the club, and the incoming head coach will have to win over a couple of them.
With the majority of the key individuals still on vacation, Salah is the only one who has already been working with Slot.
The Egyptian is well-known for his work ethic and serves as a true role model for the younger players in training. It’s been amazing to have him around since the beginning of the Slot era.
According to former Liverpool goalkeeper Adrian, Salah is equally pleased.
Adrian is ready for a Reds reunion, just a few weeks after quitting the club. His new team, Real Betis, will of course face Liverpool in Pittsburgh on Saturday morning.
Adrian chatted with The Athletic ahead of the match, sharing what he’d learned about Slot and his training methods from good pals Salah and Kostas Tsimikas.
“I speak almost every day with many of the squad — Kostas Tsimikas, Mo Salah,” says Pedro.
“They tell me they like it, and the ideology is the same as Jurgen. To be intense, direct, fast-paced, high-pressure, and daring. Liverpool’s squad is built for that. As a result, the new coach will be able to effectively adapt to his players. And I wish him the best.
Liverpool prepares for pre-season bow.
There has been a lot of discussion about how well training has gone so far this preseason.
In addition to Jones’ comments, Dominik Szoboszlai has seen a ‘difference’ in the work of Klopp and Slot.
Until now, Liverpool fans have not been able to witness that effort on the training ground in action. However, this will soon change.
Adrian and his Betis team will face the Reds at Pittsburgh’s Acrisure Stadium quite early on Saturday morning.
Liverpool fans who are willing to stay up and watch may be in for a huge surprise. We cannot wait!
