Nuno Espirito Santo, Nottingham Forest’s head coach, has revealed two new injury worries following their defeat to Manchester City.

Forest fought hard yesterday, despite a close 2-0 setback, and may have won something on another day.

The champions won thanks to goals from Josko Gvardiol and Erling Haaland, while Forest remain just one point above the relegation zone.

The Reds now have just three games left this season, two of which are away from the City Ground against Sheffield United and Burnley.

After yesterday’s game, Espirito Santo appeared to be proud of his players, although he did have to give some news about a couple of potential new ailments.

Nuno Espirito Santo reveals two new Nottingham Forest injuries.

When it comes to injuries, it never rains on Trentside, and Forest now has a couple more to contend with.

The Reds will hope that things aren’t serious, as both players performed well against City.

Murillo was sent off after appearing to twist strangely while making a fantastic tackle in the second half, and Willy Boly was apparently in pain.

Boly only returned to action yesterday and will hope to be healthy for the final three games of the season.

Espirito Santo was questioned about his injured stars during the game, and he now has an anxious wait for next weekend.

He told BBC Sport: “He (Boly) battled at times, notably in the closing minutes of the game. Murillo was also struggling. Let’s see how they do in the next one. It is critical that they recuperate properly.”

Forest needs the defensive two back for Saturday.

Losing two players of this kind would be extremely devastating, and Forest must eventually wish for good news.

The Reds must beat the Blades next weekend, or their Premier League status will be jeopardised.

Forest is more than capable of defeating a relegated side away from home, but having Boly and Murillo would undoubtedly improve their chances.

Both players have performed well when called upon this season, with Boly in particular making the Reds appear much more difficult to beat.

Forest is now waiting to see if defensive pair Boly and Murillo will be fit to play next weekend.
