Nottingham Forest are anxious to add another attacking player before the transfer market closes early next month.

Evangelos Marinakis wants a new forward player to join the Forest squad. With that in mind, a number of whispers have begun to circulate about potential Forest signings.

Yoane Wissa is Forest’s goal this month. Brentford, on the other hand, highly value the player and do not want to lose their top scorer with European qualifying still a viable option this season.

Forest is also looking for Matheus Cunha. Forest are expected to make a big deal for the Brazilian superstar in an attempt to persuade Wolves to surrender their star man.

Other names have begun to surface as potential targets for Forest. The Reds will eventually need someone, but getting someone to join appears to be a challenge.

Igor Jesus rejects Nottingham Forest transfer.

Forest appear to have raised their offer in an attempt to get the Brazilian striker before the window expires. Earlier this month, Arsenal expressed interest in signing Jesus, but a loan proposal was rejected.

According to Brazilian journalist Bernardo Pinho, Forest bid £30 million for Jesus, and the club’s president was pleased with the offer and eager to approve the transfer.

However, Jesus has turned down the transfer and appears content to stay put. He helped Botafogo win the Brazilian championship for the first time in history in 2024 and is very pleased in Brazil.

At 23 years old, it appears that now is the right time for him to relocate to Europe. The striker, on the other hand, is confident that another season with Botafogo will have no negative impact on his progress.

Jesus would have made a fantastic signing for Forest.

Although the player has no Premier League experience, he knows where the goal is. Last season with Botafogo, he scored 25 goals and established himself as one of the league’s top attackers.

Jesus made his debut for Brazil and has since earned three more caps, scoring once. The player is expected to play for the national team for many years and appears to be a very promising talent.

Forest will struggle to find a domestic striker this month. Clubs are aware that the Reds want a new talisman, therefore they will set a high bounty on the heads of their own players to deter any attempts.

In Brazil, however, the situation is different. It’s evident that Botafogo wanted to do business at £30 million, which would have made Jesus the ideal signing for Forest this month.
