Spurs set to cash in on ‘phenomenal’ player, with English club eager to pay large money for him

Tottenham are willing to sell defender Joe Rodon on a permanent basis for a cost of £10-15 million.

According to Football Insider’s Pete O’Rourke, Spurs are ready to offload him since he is not part of Ange Postecoglou’s long-term plans.

According to the source, several Premier League teams inquired about Rodon in January but were turned down due to Tottenham’s asking price.

Meanwhile, Leeds are willing to pay a high price for him, with the report implying that Tottenham’s valuation will not be an issue for them. However, if they fail to win promotion, convincing Rodon to stay in the Championship may prove difficult.

The defender joined the Championship squad on loan in the summer and has been in excellent form since. Leeds supporters have praised his efforts, and he has established himself as an important member of the team’s backline.

Leeds has one of the strongest defensive records in the Championship, with a handful of clean sheets and only 29 goals conceded in 31 league games, averaging less than a goal per game.

They are now third in the league, one point behind second-place Southampton, and have a strong chance of regaining promotion to the Premier League.

Leeds United are thought to be interested in keeping the Welshman beyond the current season, with Alasdair Gold earlier suggesting that the Whites want to recruit the ‘phenomenal’ defender on a permanent basis.
