Leeds United have released their Championship fixture calendar for the next 24/25 season, which begins with an enticing home game against recently promoted Portsmouth.
The Whites are preparing for the start of preseason next week, with Daniel Farke intent on securing a third league title in the second division.
As the season approaches, Leeds’ fixtures have been confirmed this morning, and a couple stand out immediately.
Leeds United’s fixtures for 24/25 have been confirmed: Portsmouth (H) first.
Leeds’ opening match of the 24/25 season returns at Elland Road, where they have the honour of welcome Portsmouth back to the Championship after a 12-year absence.
John Mousinho’s side won League One and will face one of the league’s title favourites on matchday one to begin a difficult opening run for Leeds, which will include travels to West Brom and Sheffield Wednesday before hosting Hull City to end August.
Leeds’ season concludes with a long trip to Plymouth Argyle, with other important fixtures include a Boxing Day showdown at Stoke City and a New Year’s Day home game against Blackburn Rovers.
Spotted: Smiley badge on Leeds graphic
The Athletic recently revealed that one of their shirts for the upcoming season will pay homage to the 1970s, with the classic ‘Smiley’ logo design replacing the current one.

The smiley teaser cannot be a coincidence for Leeds
Last season, all of the marketing graphics had peacock motifs, which became a prominent feature of the kit designs, and the Smiley appears to be up next.
We’ve previously seen reports of this, and it appears to be a classic soft rollout of the notion among supporters.
This kit has the potential to be an all-time best-seller if they remain with this design, as the badge itself is something that almost every fan loves.
