Nottingham Forest have bid £13 million to sign Nikola Milenkovic, according to Football Insider sources.
The Premier League club is in advanced talks to buy the central defender this summer and hopes to complete the deal this week.
The 26-year-old is under contract with Fiorentina until 2027 and has been with the Serie A club since 2017.
Since then, Milenkovic has been a consistent member of the team, appearing in 264 games across all competitions.
Nottingham, on the other hand, is unlikely to restrict their transfer activity with the Serbia international.
According to insiders, the club is already looking into following up on Milenkovic’s probable signing with striker and winger deals.
Nuno Espirito Santo is looking for a new centre-forward and winger ahead of his first full season in command of the East Midlands club.
Nottingham Forest need to strengthen their attacking alternatives.
Improving the attacking options at the City Ground is a top priority for the team this summer, following a poor season in front of goal in 2023-24.
Only three clubs scored less goals than Santos’ side, and two of them were relegated to the Championship.
According to Football Insider, Nottingham have expressed interest in former Leicester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho, who may fill the void.
Nottingham, on the other hand, must aim to keep one of their most dangerous attacking threats, Callum Hudson-Odoi, under control.
The former Chelsea winger scored eight goals last season, but Football Insider reports that Tottenham is interested in him.
