According to Football Insider, Leeds United could re-sign Jack Clarke this month following his rejection of a new contract at Sunderland.

Leeds are looking for a proven forward before the transfer window closes, following Crysencio Summerville’s departure and Georginio Rutter’s impending Brighton move.

The West Yorkshire club has expressed interest in the 23-year-old, although Southampton is also interested in signing him.

West Ham expressed interest in Clarke in January but have not followed up since.

Clarke graduated from Leeds United’s academy and played for the club until 2019, when he joined with Tottenham Hotspur.

The forward is under contract with the Stadium of Light until 2026.

Leeds United sees Jack Clarke as a solution to their difficulties.

Daniel Farke hopes to add an experienced forward to his club this window after losing two of his most creative players.

Clarke is a seasoned winger who could step right into the starting lineup and is familiar with Elland Road.

Clarke made 28 appearances for Leeds, scoring two goals and assisting twice.

He has contributed significantly to Sunderland’s recent success, scoring 28 goals and assisting 23 times in 114 games.

The winger has also started his personal Championship campaign strongly, scoring one goal and assisting in the first two games.

Clarke isn’t the only winger Leeds is keeping an eye on, as Football Insider reports the club has added Stoke City’s Million Manhoef to its transfer list.

Because of the quantity of sales they made this summer, the Whites had the financial resources to complete a transaction.
