Latest Nottingham Forest news from NottinghamshireLive, as the Reds are punished four points in the Premier League.

Richard Keys has had a shout at Nottingham Forest over their points deduction and thinks if the Reds are relegated fans won’t see Evangelos Marinakis for dust.

Forest have been penalized four points for breaking Premier League financial regulations, dropping them into the relegation zone with only nine games remaining this season. They are one point out of safety in 18th place.

Following the sentence, the club issued a statement stating that they are “extremely disappointed” with the points reduction and will consider filing an appeal. And Keys has issued his verdict on the penalty and made a claim about Marinakis, despite the Greek’s repeated statements about his loyalty to the team.

“What did Forest think the outcome would be when they embarked on their ridiculous spending spree last summer?” he commented on Facebook. “Today’s events were completely expected. I received harsh criticism for saying so. If this leads to relegation, I doubt you’ll see the owner for a long time.”
