Report: Tottenham now decide they want another Nottingham Forest player, despite rejecting him in 2023

Tottenham have chosen to buy another Nottingham Forest player, despite previously rejecting him in 2023.

Spurs are no strangers to plundering the City Ground, having signed Brennan Johnson from the Garibaldi back in September 2023.

Tottenham have since expressed interest in Morgan Gibbs-White, another player Ange Postecoglou hopes to recruit.

Tottenham Hotspur are interested in another Nottingham Forest player, who they previously rejected in 2023.

    Tottenham want Nottingham Forest’s No.14. Callum Hudson-Odoi

According to the Guardian, Tottenham wants to sign Callum Hudson-Odoi.

Interestingly, Tottenham were offered the option to recruit the England international from Chelsea for a low amount in the summer of 2023.

The north Londoners eventually opted to go elsewhere, signing Johnson for £47.5 million.

Tottenham’s perception of Hudson-Odoi has shifted after he scored eight goals in 29 Premier League appearances last season.

According to the Guardian, Nottingham Forest may expect to make a significant profit on the £3 million investment it made to sign the 23-year-old from Chelsea in September.

England international should remain at the City Ground.

Hudson-Odoi, who is statistically a better dribbler than Ebere Eze, should return Nottingham Forest’s faith in him by staying at the City Ground for at least another season.

As previously said, Tottenham – and presumably many other teams – did not trust in the Londoner when his career was at a crossroads last summer, but Nottingham Forest gambled on his skill and are now reaping the benefits.

As a result, while Hudson-Odoi is free to pursue his career as he sees fit, it would be a slap in the face if he chose to leave the City Ground just when his stock was rising again.

The Chelsea academy graduate is also not guaranteed a starting spot in N17, as Postecoglou already has Heung-min Son, Johnson, Dejan Kulusevski, and Richarlison.

As a result, it would be a huge disappointment if Hudson-Odoi requested to join Tottenham this summer.
