According to Football Insider, Antonio Nusa has opted to quit Club Brugge at the end of the season, following his failed January transfers to Tottenham and Brentford.
Heading into the final week of the January transfer window, Nusa appeared to be on his way to Tottenham, with reports circulating that Spurs were close to agreeing a €30 million (£25.7 million) deal with Club Brugge, which would see the youngster loaned back to the Belgian side until the end of the season.
Brentford then seemingly grabbed him from under the Lilywhites’ noses, with the youngster reportedly preferring a move to the Bees because they promised him consistent game time.
However, in the early days of the window, another important twist occurred when the 18-year-old’s projected move to the Gtech Community Stadium fell through due to concerns identified during his medical (Ben Jacobs).
According to Football Insider, Nusa has decided to quit his time at Brugge next summer, following the breakdown of several transfers.
According to the source, the adolescent plans to leave Belgium and join the Premier League at the end of the current season.
However, the report does not reveal if Tottenham or Brentford are expected to renew their interest in the Norway international when the transfer window reopens.
