Report: ‘One of the finest players in the Championship’ has agreed to join Leeds in surprise move

Leeds United are bracing for a hectic finale to the summer transfer window as they seek to strengthen Daniel Farke’s squad.

Crysencio Summerville, last season’s talisman, has moved on to West Ham United, as have Georginio Rutter and Archie Gray.

Largie Ramazani moved to Leeds last week and is expected to replace Summerville on the left.

Manor Solomon is on the verge of arriving from Tottenham, and it has recently been revealed that they are close to signing a Championship playmaker.

Gustavo Hamer agreed to join Leeds.

According to the Dutch source Transfer Watch, Sheffield United’s standout player Gustavo Hamer has decided to join Leeds United.

Hamer has signed personal terms with the Whites, and the two Yorkshire clubs are currently negotiating a transfer cost.

Leeds have already had a £13 million deal rejected for the 27-year-old, but are likely to make a second offer.

This deal is expected to be completed before Friday’s deadline.

Gustavo Hamer, described as ‘one of the top players in the Championship’ by the Coventry Telegraph, can play as a number 8 or a traditional number 10.

The former Netherlands youth international had a strong debut season with The Blades last season, scoring 10 goals in the Premier League.

He’s already off the mark in the Championship this season, with two goals and an assist.

If Leeds signed Hamer this week, it would be a clear statement of intent to their promotion opponents.
