Nottingham Forest will have their fingers in a number of pies during the January transfer window.

Following a successful transfer window in the summer, Forest will want to guarantee that their efforts are not undone.

With the squad performing well on the field, it is evident that little needs to be done, and any new player must outperform those currently on the roster.

Forest has been following Kaua Elias, a Brazilian wonderkid who is scheduled to leave Fluminense this summer.

However, nothing looks to be near, and probably the most pressing issue is anchoring current stars to new contracts.

Chris Wood has been offered a new contract, and negotiations with Ola Aina about remaining at the City Ground are progressing well.

There are other players who Forest wants to sign to new contracts, but with things going so well, the club will not be actively looking to sell.

Nottingham Forest’s attitude about Morgan Gibbs-White

According to the Daily Mail, Gibbs-White has yet to agree on a new contract with the club.

However, it is quite doubtful that Gibbs-White will leave this month, as the player still has two and a half years left on his current contract.

According to the article, any bids received this month may open the door for additional offers in the summer, as Gibbs-White is now in excellent shape.

This season, the 24-year-old has three goals and three assists, five of which came in December.

Gibbs-White is blossoming under Nuno Espirito Santo, and the manager will want to keep him on Trentside for the foreseeable future.

    Morgan Gibbs-White statistics: 2024/25

Gibbs-White has previously been criticized for failing to score or claim enough assists.

However, during the last month, this has changed, and he has begun to really prove himself.

    Morgan Gibbs-White statistics 2024/25 Total
    Appearances 15
    Goals 3
    Assists 3
    Key Passes 26
    Dribbles 21
    Shots 26
    Aerials won 43

It undoubtedly helps that Gibbs-White’s teammates are starting to help him out a little more, giving him more opportunity to get the ball.

His pass for the first Forest goal against Everton was magnificent at the weekend, and his goal was likewise the result of a wonderful touch that took him past the defense.

Gibbs-White is a rising star, and maybe he’ll be able to sign a new contract soon.
