Report: Nottingham Forest have now made an offer to sign the £8.4 million player West Ham are intending to bid for

Nottingham Forest have now made an offer to capture one of Portugal’s finest players, whom West Ham are also believed to target this summer.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s team has already added Elliot Anderson, Nikola Milenkovic, Carlos Miguel, Eric da Silva Moreira, and Marko Stamenic in an attempt to escape another relegation battle.

Nottingham Forest is looking to add a sixth player this summer, and West Ham is also interested in this player.

Nottingham Forest make a Jota Silva offer.

According to the Portuguese newspaper O Jogo, Nottingham Forest has made an offer to recruit Jota Silva.

The Vitória de Guimarães No.11 includes suggestions from Panathinaikos and Krasnodar.

West Ham will bid for Silva after his price tag was reduced from €20m (£16.8m) to €10m (£8.4m) due to Vitória de Guimarães’ need to raise finances, according to a Portuguese news outlet, Record.

O Jogo believes the Portugal international will make a decision on his next club in the coming days, giving West Ham little time to compete with Nottingham Forest in this specific transfer war.

Silva led Vitória de Guimarães with 15 goals and seven assists in 42 games during the 2023/24 season.

West Ham should submit a bid.

It would be very surprising if West Ham did not join Nottingham Forest in making a bid for Silva.

The 24-year-old from Gondomar featured in a variety of attacking positions last season, demonstrating his versatility, and is available for a bargain £8.4 million fee.

It would make sense for West Ham not to acquire Silva if Julen Lopetegui already had a strong attacking lineup, but aside from Jarrod Bowen, who scored 20 goals in all competitions last season, there aren’t many of those at the London Stadium.

Last season, Michail Antonio and Danny Ings scored a total of eight goals.

West Ham are seeking to address this issue by signing Aston Villa No.24 Jhon Duran, yet signing Silva seems like a no-brainer given his price and age.

Keep a watch on this issue, as Silva could decide to join Nottingham Forest in the coming days as the Reds leave their offer on the table.
