Leeds United are looking at two main targets after Manor Solomon was revealed, according to the Daily Mirror.
On page 49 of its print edition on 27 August, David Anderson stated that, following the news of a loan deal for Solomon from Tottenham Hotspur, Daniel Farke is looking for Burnley’s Manuel Benson and Bournemouth’s Max Aarons.
Leeds are anxious to increase key squad numbers after raising almost £110 million in player sales this summer, with Solomon set to become the club’s 21st first-team player.
Leeds United are busy in the last week of the transfer window.
Leeds United must be very active in the market over the final few days of the transfer window.
Solomon’s season-long loan move, which is expected to be completed on Tuesday due to late interest from elsewhere [David Ornstein, 26 August], would make the 25-year-old the club’s sixth senior addition this summer.
The last week or two before the deadline is when clubs select their squads, making players available who would not have been before the season began – this might allow Farke to come in for Aarons from Bournemouth [Graham Smyth, 26 August].
Benson, meanwhile, has piqued the interest of numerous Championship clubs looking to compete for promotion this season, and he is expected to leave Burnley this week.
Do not be shocked if Leeds make offers for further arrivals, even if they manage to acquire all three of their initial options.
