Nottingham Forest are currently looking for a former Premier League player to become the club’s sixth signing this summer.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s team has been one of the busiest in the transfer market, with five new faces already arriving at City Ground.
Following the first two pre-season friendlies, the majority of those players have already made their Forest debuts.
The newest signing Nikola Milenkovic has now joined the Forest squad in Spain, but is yet to make his debut for the Reds.
Although Forest has been active in the window, they are still hoping to make more additions after avoiding PSR penalties this time around.
Forest express genuine interest in former Premier League winger.
Adding to their front line has been a top priority for Forest, with various options under consideration.
Riquelme Fillipi is a player that Forest are more confident of signing this summer.
This comes after Forest attracted interest from Newcastle United in Anthony Elanga earlier in the transfer window.
However, it may not be just for the £5 million Brazilian who Forest hope to sign in the coming weeks, as another winger is thought to be on their radar.
According to L’Equipe, Forest are showing an interest in Marseille winger Ismaila Sarr.
The former Watford forward is a player who the Ligue 1 club is eager to sell this summer, having previously explored him in a swap deal with Villarreal for Filip Jorgensen.
However, Forest are not the only team interested in Sarr, as Crystal Palace is also involved.
With Marseille looking to sell, the 26-year-old is thought to be enthusiastic about the prospect of returning to the Premier League.
What El Hadji Diouf has stated about Ismaila Sarr
It wasn’t long ago that the Senegalese international was playing Premier League games for Watford.
Liverpool have even been linked with a move for the 26-year-old, with El Hadji Diouf telling the Daily Mail that Sarr might play for one of England’s elite clubs in 2022.
“He’s a world-class player. “He can play for Manchester United, Liverpool, or anywhere,” he stated.
In 50 Premier League appearances for the struggling Watford, the winger has 10 goals and six assists.
That tally could be increased in the coming months as English clubs express interest.
