Nottingham Forest is one of the Premier League teams that hasn’t had too many problems bringing in players this summer.

With the Euros and Copa America being finished over the weekend, many teams have struggled to seal deals.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side is not one of them, with Evangelos Marinakis handling both incomings and outgoings.

Five new signings have arrived at the City Ground, but some players left last month to balance the books against PSR.

Five could soon become six, as Forest looks for their next prospective summer acquisition.

Nottingham Forest are willing to pay £5 million for the summer target.

Forest experienced a tumultuous 2023/24 season, with the threat of relegation looming until the final week of the season.

Nuno’s players began pre-season in strong form with a comfortable win against Chesterfield at the weekend.

Forest’s new signings were able to put on a display in front of the travelling fans when Nuno rotated his team at halftime.

Forest are preparing to make their first bid for the City Ground, so another new face could soon arrive.

According to The Athletic, Forest are now willing to pay £5 million to sign Brazilian winger Riquelme Fillipi.

The 17-year-old is very much a long-term prospect having played for the Palmeiras academy side last season and was also able help Brazil wil the South American Under-17 Championship.

It is said Forest are looking to keep their success in raiding Brazil of some of their top talents going after hitting the jackpot with Murillo.

Riquelme has already signed a professional deal with Palmeiras but the Premier League side could now swoop in with a £5m proposal.

What Riquelme Fillipi has said about his style of play

Riquelme was named by his father after the legendary Argentinian midfielder but external influences have also made a real impact on his style of play.

“I am a very fast player who likes to dribble,” Riquelme told O Globo last year.

“I always try to pay special attention to my finishing and, regarding positioning, I can adapt to different formations. Modern football demands this versatility. So I can play as a winger, mainly on the left side, as well as a centre forward.”

The forward also said he has taken a lot from Neymar Jr who has acted as a real role model for the 17-year-old throughout his childhood.
