Nottingham Forest are currently facing stiff competition for their seventh signing of the summer.

The Reds are now fully prepared for the 2024/25 season, which begins on Saturday with Bournemouth at the City Ground.

Nuno Espirito Santo has already signed six players this summer, indicating that Forest has planned properly.

Evangelos Marinakis has clearly supported his manager, but he will be hoping that this translates into results on the pitch.

There are two weeks until the summer window closes, but the Reds are still seeking to make a handful of additions.

Nottingham Forest faces Real Sociedad competition for an attacker.

Forest are close to signing Ramon Sosa, who will be the club’s eighth signing of the summer.

Despite this, the Reds are still hunting for more, and Forest have made an approach for Barcelona’s Vitor Roque.

However, according to UOL, Forest are now facing competition for the attacker’s signing from within La Liga.

Indeed, Real Sociedad of the Europa League has made an approach to sign Roque this summer.

According to the article, Sociedad is not alone in their pursuit of the 19-year-old Brazilian, as Portugal has also expressed interest.

Barcelona could accept a loan for Roque, although they would prefer a sale for around €30 million (£25 million).

Nottingham Forest also interested in Arsenal’s Eddie Nketiah.

Forest are clearly aiming to sign a new striker in the remaining two weeks of the transfer season, with a number of targets on their radar.

Forest are also keeping an eye on Arsenal’s Eddie Nketiah, who is no longer expected to join Bournemouth.

Chris Wood had a fantastic season last time out, but it appears like Forest are looking to bring in a new forward.

After doing so well in the market elsewhere, it begs the question of why Forest has waited until the last few weeks to seriously pursue a new striker when it is so important.
