Nottingham Forest are still looking to add additional players to their squad this summer, despite having already signed six.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s team has been reinforced by Evangelos Marinakis ahead of the 2019 Premier League season.
But there’s still a week until Bournemouth visit the City Ground next Saturday, giving the Reds time to make further deals.
Forest has been one of the busiest clubs in the Premier League this summer, with numerous players coming and going.
However, the Reds are still looking for striking reinforcements, with Forest displaying an interest in CA Talleres winger Ramon Sosa.
Forest are also interested in another forward, but the player has already agreed to a move elsewhere, which might be a major issue.
Forest sees offensive target greenlight go to other club.
Forest played their final preseason friendly against Olympiacos in Greece on Thursday night.
During the game, the Reds received some breaking transfer news, with Fabrizio Romano revealing that Forest’s deal for Porto winger Galeno was rejected.
In the hours following, Sky Sports has reported that Forest are mulling an updated bid for Galeno, with Porto demanding a higher offer.
Clearly, the Reds have a big interest in the Brazilian, but there could be a major concern.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Galeno has given his approval for a move to Juventus this summer.
The European heavyweights have recently expressed an interest in the Brazilian winger, but there is still an issue with the Porto attacker.
According to Forest, the Portuguese club is demanding for more than £30 million for the 26-year-old winger.
It is said that Juventus is ready to make a proposal for Galeno, whom Porto believes they may need to sell this summer to balance the books.
Forest still has Ramon Sosa looking for a move.
Some sensational reports have emerged from Argentina regarding one of Forest’s other forward targets.
Ramon Sosa has left Talleres training to join Forest in the coming weeks.
This follows the two teams’ verbal agreement on the Paraguayan forward, which Forest has not met.
Sosa is said to have protested against his current club in order to pursue a move to England.
Clearly, Forest have a real interest in Galeno but they may not be able to compete with Juventus, but at least they know Sosa remains an option if they are unable to land the Porto winger.
