Report: £3 million. Brazilian is now ‘ready’ to join Nottingham Forest this summer

Nottingham Forest are now set to recruit a £3 million Brazilian as their first signing of the summer transfer season.

The summer transfer market has not yet officially opened, but Nottingham Forest is in for a busy month as they must comply with PSR rules around player sales.

Forest has until June 30 to generate some cash through player sales before the deadline, after which they may face additional penalties in the upcoming campaign.

However, Nuno Espirito Santo will want to see owner Evangelos Marinakis improve a lot of aspects of his team.

Despite receiving a four-point deduction last season, Forest had to wait until the final game of the season to secure their Premier League membership.

And, as they attempt to move on from their troubles last term, the first of their summer projects may be nearing completion.

Brazilian prepared to play for Nottingham Forest.

Although Forest appear to be forced into player sales this month, this does not rule out the arrival of players at the City Ground.

Several players, including Matt Turner, could be leaving in the coming weeks, with the MLS showing interest.

Some significant money might be made on some of Forest’s bigger players, with Murillo estimated to be worth over £70 million by the club.

However, the Brazilian could go because one of his former Corinthians teammates is expected to arrive.

According to sources in Brazil, Corinthians goalkeeper Carlos Miguel is now ‘ready to play’ for Nottingham Forest.

It has been stated that the 25-year-old Brazilian’s contract with the Brazilian giants includes a €4 million (£3 million) release clause.

This season, the Brazilian has only played four league games for Corinthians, but he has managed two clean sheets.

Nottingham Forest rapidly resolved their goalkeeper issues.

There is little doubt that Forest have struggled between the sticks this season, with three different goalkeepers taking turns in the starting lineup.

Odysseas Vlachodimos, Matt Turner, and Matz Sels have all had opportunities to impress Nuno this season, and two of them are already linked with moves away.

Vlachodimos, the Greek goalkeeper, is also poised to leave Forest, having grown disgruntled with his lack of playing time this season.

With this seems to be a position that Nuno is eager to fill, bringing in a new goalkeeper before pre-season begins would be extremely advantageous in order to give the potential new goalie as much time as possible to settle in at his new club.
