    Rangers transfer round-up: Meeting planned for loan termination; Hamza Igamane race heats up

    Philippe Clement and Nils Koppen could be in for a busy winter transfer window at Rangers.

    The Light Blues have already acquired outstanding defender Rafael Fernandes to their ranks, on a six-month loan from Lille, to assist alleviate Ibrox’s ongoing injury crisis.

    With multiple players out of contract at the end of the 2024/25 season, there could be both outgoings and incomings before the transfer window closes on February 3.

    Ianis Hagi’s contract twist

    The Romanian’s current contract at Ibrox is slated to expire at the conclusion of the 2024/25 season, but it is now believed the player is eager to sit down and negotiate extending his stay in Scotland [Daily Record].

    Negotiations have yet to commence, but both parties are anxious for Hagi to sign a new contract after impressing significantly since rejoining the Rangers squad.

    Rangers absorb Isaac Price’s transfer blow.

    According to the Express & Star, Clement’s side has emerged as one of the sides interested in Standard Liege prodigy Isaac Price, but it appears they will miss out.

    West Brom are closing in on a £2.5 million agreement for the former Everton star, who flew into the UK on Monday (20 January) to complete his transfer to The Hawthorns [Sacha Tavolieri].

    Kasanwirjo Contract Termination

    Despite a promising start to the season, Neraysho Kasanwirjo, who is on loan at Ibrox from Feyenoord, has been scheduled for a meeting with the Dutch club to consider terminating his current contract.

    Feyenoord want Luka Ivanusec to join Dinamo Zagreb on loan this month, but having hit their season limit, the injured defender could be recalled to allow the transfer to take place.

    Sheffield United join the battle for Tom Lawrence.

    The Blades are the latest team to enter the hunt to recruit Tom Lawrence [Daily Mail], who has not played since November owing to injury.

    It is understood that the Welshman has failed to agree new terms with the Light Blues, alerting Ipswich Town, Burnley, and Besiktas to the former Manchester United player, who is out of contract this summer.

    New Premier League club wants Hamza Igamane.

    Another Premier League club has entered the hunt for Hamza Igamane’s signature, joining Everton, and is mulling a bid for the 13-goal striker [Ibrox Noise].

    The 22-year-old has been a breath of fresh air since joining from FAR Rabat in the summer, but his outstanding performances have sparked significant transfer interest.
