Rangers are going through a difficult stretch of the season, with additional concerns developing ahead of the summer transfer window in the form of Hamza Igamane.
Rangers’ attitude at Ibrox is fairly dismal following their 1-0 defeat to Queen’s Park, which is understandable given the season at hand.
The Light Blues look unlikely to achieve any success this season, with exits from both domestic cups and an almost unsalvageable 13-point deficit to Celtic in the Scottish Premiership.
Those scenarios have increased the strain on Philippe Clement, and a new claim has been made on Igamane, as Ibrox News sums up the day’s major Rangers news.
Yilmaz Update emerges ahead of the Hearts clash.
Rangers are preparing for an encounter with Hearts this weekend, according to a new post on Ridvan Yilmaz.
The Rangers ace is back in full training but Dr Brar exclusively disclosed to Ibrox News that he is unlikely to play the entire 90 minutes against Tynecastle, with fears of worsening his issues.
“He’s back in full first-team training and he’s far along in the process of returning to matches, as long as he tolerates training well,” according to him.
“He’s still unlikely to play the full 90 minutes this weekend as he’s not had too much game time under his belt so chances of re-injury are high.”
Leon Balogun reacts to Rangers speculations
Leon Balogun has been an important part of this Rangers side, but an injury incurred against Manchester United has sidelined him since.
Claims that the 36-year-old is set to retire were quickly refuted by the Rangers defender in response to a question from Flashscore.
Balogun said, “False claims. I believe I clarified recently. Sorry for being nasty, but it is out there. And I simply stated it to you. Those claims are, as we like to say today? “Fake News.”
His contract with Ibrox is set to expire at the end of the current season.
Patrick Stewart shares stance on Philippe Clement dismissal
Patrick Stewart has given the reason why the Light Blues are yet to sack the Belgian despite the dreadful season that Rangers are facing.
Clement’s patience is wearing thin at Rangers, but any sacking decision is unlikely to come soon, given Stewart’s comments following a meeting with the Fan Advisory Board.
The statement continues: “PS reiterated that the decision to retain Philippe Clement as manager was not a financially driven decision, rather it was recognition there was so much else to fix in the football department.”
£8m Hamza Igamane claims
Rangers have relied heavily on Igamane this season, and the possibility of losing him is unsettling.
Everton had been admiring the forward all winter, but no deal was made, and Igamane remained at Ibrox.
However, interest in the frontman is set to return during the summer transfer window, with Derek Ferguson confirming the anticipated price tag for Igamane in an exclusive interview with Ibrox News.
Ferguson stated: “Money talks. Everton, West Ham, or whomever else would have to pay between £6 and £8 million to sign him.
“They brought in for roughly £2.5 million, which would be a good profit. He’s lost his way in the last few games, but he’s already a fan favourite.”
