Rabbi Matondo is on the verge of leaving Rangers for Hannover 96 on loan till the end of the season.
According to journalist Florian Plettenberg, the winger has already arrived at the German club, ready to finalize the transfer from Ibrox.
He says talks with Rangers about a loan deal until the end of the season with a buyout option are nearing completion.
The Rangers winger has already agreed verbally with the German side to leave Ibrox in the coming days. The 24-year-old is now in Germany, presumably to undergo a medical ahead of the deal being finalised.
He has made only eight appearances and played 327 minutes for Philippe Clement this season. He did not play in Rangers’ past two league games, which they won over Aberdeen and Dundee United.
The most of his absence has been due to a hamstring injury, which kept him out from September until the middle of November, but he then missed five games before returning for a 24-minute appearance against Motherwell at the end of December.
It looks that he and Rangers have chosen to split ways, with Hannover 96 concluding a loan deal to sign him from Ibrox.
