The Rangers Fan Advisory Board (RFAB) has confirmed they recently held a meeting with Patrick Stewart and other members of the Rangers leadership team.
During the meeting, which took place before the club’s Scottish Cup defeat to Queen’s Park, the RFAB discussed a “wide range of club issues and concerns” with the new CEO and key figures at Ibrox. The minutes of the meeting are expected to be released soon.
This statement comes at a time of growing pressure on the Rangers board to publicly outline their plans for the club following the unexpected exit from the Scottish Cup over the weekend.
Rangers Fan Advisory Board write to Rangers
In a statement to supporters, the Rangers Fan Advisory Board (RFAB) confirmed that they have met with Patrick Stewart and have been in contact with the club regarding the ongoing situation with Philippe Clement.
Rangers fans are outraged after the team’s shock exit from the Scottish Cup, effectively ending their domestic season in February.
With attendances expected to drop and many fans calling for Clement’s dismissal, the RFAB has stated that they have also reached out to the club to “convey the strength of fan sentiment” following the defeat to Queen’s Park.
Four days have passed since what can be considered the worst Scottish Cup defeat in Rangers’ history, yet the club’s fans have still not heard a word from those in charge.
