Simon Grayson believes Jack Clarke will be an excellent addition to the Leeds United squad during the summer transfer window.
However, the former Whites manager believes he will only move to a Premier League team if he leaves the Stadium of Light.
According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, the Black Clats are considering a £15 million bid for the 23-year-old English attacker.
On June 21, Grayson informed the press that Jack Clarke had a great season, but he would have to leave Sunderland for a Premier League team.
“Leeds were forced to sell him earlier for financial reasons, but he would be an excellent acquisition.
“With Willy Gnonto, Dan James, Crysencio Summerville, Patrick Bamford, and Joel Piroe, Leeds have attackers that would fit into many Premier League squads. Let’s wait till the summer and see what happens; he would be an incredible weapon to have.”
Jack Clarke would be an excellent addition to Leeds United’s roster this summer.
Clarke coming to Leeds would be an excellent signing for the club, especially if Crysencio Summerville leaves.
The Englishman, a product of the academy, shown enormous potential during his last tenure at Elland Road and performed admirably against Leeds.
His ability to dribble past opponents, create opportunities, and score goals would substantially enhance Leeds’ attacking capabilities.
Furthermore, his connection with the club and its fans would allow him to adjust swiftly and make an immediate effect.
Clarke’s Championship and Premier League experience, combined with his youthful age, make him a valuable long-term asset to the Whites.
His signing would also demonstrate the club’s dedication to developing homegrown talent, which is popular with the fans.
