Former Leeds United goalkeeper Paul Robinson believes current first-teamer Ethan Ampadu may get bids and depart Elland Road this summer, according to MOT Leeds News.
The Whites could lose a number of players this summer, and the club may need to make a few transactions in the coming weeks to have the best chance of meeting financial requirements.
Crysencio Summerville is one player who has been heavily projected to leave the West Yorkshire club, and for good reason; the Dutchman has performed admirably for much of the 2023/24 season.
He may not have done well against Southampton in last month’s Championship play-off final, but he probably deserves a promotion to the Premier League after an outstanding season at Leeds.
Archie Gray and Willy Gnonto are two further youngsters who could draw a lot of attention, having impressed last season and showing plenty of promise.
Gray was highly comfortable playing in the second division last season despite his previous lack of senior experience, and Gnonto performed well in the second half of the season after a slow start in 2023/24 due to a transfer issue last summer.
Bids for additional players might come in quickly, with others excelling and contributing to their 90-point total and voyage to the play-off final.

Robinson believes Ampadu, who was one of the first names on the squad sheet last season after joining the club in the summer, might draw bids this summer.
And the former England international isn’t ruling out the Welshman leaving, telling MOT Leeds News: “It’s a difficult summer. Everyone is aware of Leeds’ financial difficulties this summer, as well as the fact that they remain in the Championship.
“They are also aware that there are a number of high-caliber players that came close to making the Premier League. So, with the transfer market, it will be an unhappy summer for Leeds fans.
“Players such as Archie Gray, Crysencio Summerville, Ampadu, and Gnonto are all susceptible to a bid. If the proper bid comes in, Leeds lacks the staying power to resist it.
“Ampadu is one of several players that could leave the club if they receive a reasonable deal. “It won’t be a comfortable summer.”
Ethan Ampadu may profit from staying with Leeds United.
Ampadu’s talent suggests that he could eventually make the step up to the top division.
However, another promotion push with the Whites next season could help him to further establish his name and demonstrate why he deserves consistent game time in the English top tier.
He will be motivated to return to the top level after failing to establish himself as a regular first-team player at Chelsea, but given his age, he does not need to rush.
If he’s worth his salt, which he most certainly is given his domestic and international experience with Wales, it’ll only be a matter of time until he returns to the top flight.
And spending more than one season at Elland Road will make him appear more loyal, which will only benefit his CV.
