During this afternoon’s press conference at Hotspur Way, Ange Postecoglou presented a team news update ahead of tomorrow’s encounter against Burnley.

The attention in North London is now on the FA Cup, with Tottenham aiming to end their lengthy wait for competitive silverware, with their previous triumph in the competition coming in 1991 under the late Terry Venables.

Spurs, who haven’t played in Europe this season, were knocked out of the Carabao Cup by Fulham on penalties.

Posteoglou told the Tottenham media team that Alejo Veliz will be absent for a few months following a knee scan. The injury, however, will not necessitate surgery, but it comes just as the Argentine was beginning to impress at Hotspur Way.
