Paul O Keefe hails Spurs star when fresh stat emerges, saying he is ‘underappreciated’.

Tottenham Hotspur winger Dejan Kulusevski is getting attention for leading in an important statistics category.

According to Squawka, Kulusevski, Florian Writz, and Mohamed Salah are tied for the most open-play chances created in Europe’s top seven divisions this season.

On his social media site, X, respected Spurs insider and correspondent Paul O’Keefe lauded the Swedish forward for topping such an important figure, claiming that the player is also underestimated for his other vital traits.

Tottenham signed Kulusevski from Juventus in January 2022 on an 18-month loan for €10 million, with the option to buy.

Last June, the agreement was made permanent, extending Kulusevski’s contract until June 2028.

The 23-year-old has been a steady presence for Ange Postecoglou this season, appearing in 21 league games and contributing five goals and two assists.
In addition to his creativity, Kulusevski is commended for his solid defensive efforts in every game, as noted by O’Keefe in his tweet.

    He posted on X:

“The bar we judge Kulusevski with is extremely high. Considering his defensive output (in addition to the below), I think we are in danger of underappreciating him.”

Tottenham clearly has a tremendous asset in their squad.
