Football Insider has learned that Leeds United have added Stoke City winger Million Manhoef on their transfer list.
On the latest episode of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior journalist Pete O’Rourke stated that “the money is there” for Leeds to be busy before the August 31st deadline.
Daniel Farke is prioritizing the signing of a winger following the loss of Crysencio Summerville and Gerginio Rutter’s apparent departure from Elland Road.
Jonathan Rowe has been mentioned, but the Championship team faces tough competition from Marseille, which will force him to reject down the French squad.
Manhoef is on Leeds’ target list, although sources say he isn’t at the top.
The Whites would likely struggle to recruit Manhoef because he only joined Stoke in February and the Potters do not want to sell him.
Leeds United may profit from Million Manhoef’s innovation.
Leeds’ recruitment squad is thought to be under pressure this summer after losing two of their most creative players, with no replacements yet secured.
The Championship club needs to add some new players, and the Netherlands Under-21 international might give the attacking spark they require.
Manhoef has four goals and one assist in 14 games for Stoke last season, and he added another assist on the first day of this season.
According to Football Insider, Leeds are also keeping an eye on Rangers winger Rabbi Matondo.
Rangers are looking to unload players following their failure to qualify for the Champions League and would consider offers for the winger.
