Could Jack Harrison return to Leeds United next season following an excellent loan spell at Everton?
According to Football Insider, Jack Harrison could return to Leeds United next season after impressing at Everton.
The 27-year-old has been an important element of the Toffees’ team this season, emerging as one of Sean Dyche’s most reliable players.
However, Football Insider has learned from reliable sources that the winger will be of interest to Premier League and European clubs next summer, particularly if the Whites continue in the Championship.
Leeds are reported to be willing to trade Harrison permanently at the conclusion of the season, regardless of whether they are promoted back to the Premier League.
Everton are interested in permanently signing the Englishman after his loan, according to Football Insider (9 February), although this has been called into question due to ongoing uncertainties about relegation and their forthcoming takeover.
Harrison was hoping to stay in the top division after Leeds were relegated last season, but if Daniel Farke’s side is promoted, he might return to Elland Road.
However, a clean break could be best for both parties, allowing Harrison to follow in the footsteps of Luis Sinisterra and make a permanent leave after a loan move.
Harrison has four goals and three assists in 25 appearances across all competitions for Everton this season.
He scored the Toffees’ first equaliser in a 2-2 draw with Tottenham earlier this month (3 February), bringing his league goal total to three.
Leeds are third in the Championship table following their 3-0 victory over Rotherham United on Saturday (10 February).
Their next match is away to Swansea City on Tuesday evening (February 13).
