If Leeds United can’t collect enough money from the sales of their on-loan stars, they may consider selling Archie Gray, sources have informed Football Insider.
Football Insider (March 31) has learned through reliable sources that Tottenham has entered the competition to recruit 18-year-old Gray this summer, with many other Premier League teams.
Whether or not they are promoted back to the top division, Daniel Farke’s team is reportedly eager to keep the teenage star at Elland Road for the upcoming campaign.
But, if Leeds does not receive suitable offers for any of their on-loan players, including Jack Harrison, they may decide to cash in on the highly-rated and highly-potential midfielder/full-back this summer.
This summer, Leeds United might think about selling Archie Gray.
Harrison joined Everton on a season-long loan, but sources informed Football Insider last month (February 25) that he wants to go permanently. However, a move will depend on 777 Partners’ potential takeover of the Toffees.
The Whites are vying to bolster their transfer roster in anticipation of an anticipated return to the Premier League. They are also expected to accept bids for the permanent departure of most of its on-loan players, including Max Wober and Marc Roca.
With 38 starts in all competitions this season, the 2006-born Gray has been a standout for Farke’s promotion-chasing Leeds. Gray can play exceptionally well in both defensive midfield and right back.
Following Friday’s 2-2 draw at Vicarage Road against Watford, Leeds is now ranked second in the Championship standings (29 March).
On Monday night, April 1, they will play their next game at Elland Road against Hull City.
