According to The Athletic, Newcastle United are still interested in Forest winger Anthony Elanga.
At the end of June, when both teams were racing to comply with Premier League Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR), talks arose about the winger’s move to Tyneside for a fee, while Yankuba Minteh would have gone the other way in identical circumstances. As it turned out, nothing came of it, with Forest selling other businesses and Minteh moving to Brighton.
However, developments have only highlighted Newcastle’s need to bolster the right side of their attack, therefore Elanga is still on their radar. Alternatively, Chelsea’s Noni Madueke and West Ham’s Jarrod Bowen are being discussed internally.
