The latest Nottingham Forest news, as the Reds climbed three points clear of the relegation zone with a 3-1 victory over Fulham at the City Ground.
Nottingham Forest have given themselves a significant survival boost by regaining the four points they lost through a deduction in just four days.
The Reds defeated Fulham 3-1 at the City Ground on Tuesday night, thanks to a dominant first-half effort. The victory advances them to 25 points.
Forest got off to a fantastic start at the City Ground, with Callum Hudson-Odoi taking the lead after only nine minutes. It got better 10 minutes later, when Chris Wood increased their lead with a shot from outside the area.
The way the game was going forced Fulham manager Marco Silva to make three changes after only half an hour. Willian, Adama Traore, and Tom Cairney have all entered the field of play.
Fulham were able to extend their lead just before halftime, with Morgan Gibbs-White capping off a brilliant team play. Fulham got back into the game in the 49th minute when Tosin Adarabioyo scored from a set piece as the game opened up.
Despite strong pressure from Fulham in the second half, Forest were able to hold on to claim a huge three points. The triumph came as Everton could only manage a point against Newcastle United, allowing Forest to cut the deficit to just one point, although the Toffees do have a game in hand.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s club are also three points clear of the relegation zone, however 18th placed Luton also have a game in hand, which sees them play Arsenal on Wednesday night. Its going to be a tough finale of the season at the bottom of the standings.
