Nottingham Forest’s most recent accounts have been revealed.

The Reds’ financial results for 2022/23, up to June 30, 2023, have been disclosed on Companies House. A 44-page document reveals that the club’s revenue increased to £155 million, owing primarily to a significant boost in TV revenue to about £125 million as a result of its Premier League status.

Forest spent £170 million on signing players, with wages rising to £147 million, and earned £5 million from player sales. The club’s operating loss rose from £51 million to £62 million.

The annual report states Evangelos Marinakis is “committed to the long-term future of the club and its funding,” and it also mentions the club’s infraction of Premier League financial rules, which resulted in a four-point deduction, which Forest are appealing.

“The Premier League have found Nottingham Forest to be in breach of the Profit & Sustainability rules on 15th January 2024 in relation to figures submitted for the three-year period ending June 2023,” according to the statement. “The Football club are working closely with the Premier League to mutually agree a resolution to the proposed breaches which are currently ongoing.”
