Nottingham Forest will launch a bid for £34 million Tottenham top striker target

If Tottenham Hotspur does not act fast in their pursuit for a striker, they risk being left empty-handed.

Spurs have been looking for a new centre-forward this summer, as Richarlison’s future remains uncertain.

Ange Postecoglou informed the club’s board that he is short on strikers, and HITC confirmed on Tuesday that Tottenham has identified four striker targets.

Dominic Solanke, for example, has a release clause in his Bournemouth deal worth £65 million.

However, HITC stated in May that Tottenham’s top striker target is Santiago Gimenez, who has impressed at Feyenoord.

The Mexico international won the Eredivisie under Arne Slot and finished last season with 26 goals in all competitions.

Tottenham have yet to make a move for Gimenez, and they risk losing out to Premier League opponents.

Nottingham Forest are poised to seize Tottenham’s aim.

According to Dutch site 1908, Nottingham Forest has a concrete interest in Gimenez this summer, with a multi-million bid expected soon.

According to the article, Gimenez’s value this summer is projected to be about 40 million Euros (£34 million), with many clubs interested in signing him.

Forest were docked four points for violating the Profit and Sustainability Rules last season, but they have resolved their financial issues this summer and are free to spend.

They spent around £65 million this summer on six new acquisitions, including a £35 million purchase for Newcastle United midfielder Elliot Anderson.

Forest already has a powerful strike force that includes Taiwo Awoniyi, Chris Wood, and Emmanuel Dennis, but they are apparently looking to add Gimenez to their roster.
