Latest Nottingham Forest news from NottinghamshireLive: Swedish forward Julian Larsson quits the City Ground.
Julian Larsson, a Swedish forward, has left Nottingham Forest.
The 23-year-old has left the City Ground to join Burton Albion after failing to make an impact with the Reds, whom he joined in 2020 from Allsvenskan side AIK.
He scored 16 goals in 43 Premier League 2 games for Forest, but did not play in the Premier League.
Larsson stated upon signing with the Brewers, “I’m very excited to be here and to be a part of this, and I can’t wait to get started.”
“As a player, I want to develop, and I believe this is the ideal environment for me, with a high level of competition and a club with big goals.
“The facilities are great here and the club have such big ambitions, so It’ll be a good move for me.”
Burton’s sporting director, Bendik Hareide, said, “We are delighted to welcome Julian as the latest member of our squad.” He is a promising young player with high potential who fits perfectly with our philosophy. We are convinced he will be a valuable addition, especially given his speed and athleticism, and look forward to seeing his impact on the field.”
