Nottingham Forest was victorious in a thrilling match against Wolves, 3-0.

Following a defeat to Manchester City in early December, Nuno Espirito Santo has won six consecutive games.

The victory was obtained thanks to goals from Morgan Gibbs-White, Chris Wood and Taiwo Awoniyi who grabbed his first goal of the campaign.

Gibbs-White made waves against his former team once more, with the player receiving loud boos whenever he touched the ball.

The Forest captain signed for the club for £25 million, and Gibbs-White has represented England this season under Espirito Santo’s coaching.

He certainly loved his goal, and understandably, following the victory, the Forest number 10 was questioned about his typical celebration in front of the Wolves fans.

Gibbs-White was lauded by Jamie Carragher and Tom Cairney on Monday Night Football, and he deserved the praise.

After the game, the talk was about why he opted to celebrate against his former club.

Naturally, he was going to be a touch cheeky with the celebration, given that the home team’s chants were unpleasant to say the least.

“It’s all love and banter, that’s the way I take it anyway.”

Once again, the Forest star sparkled against his previous team, and they must be sick of seeing him.

Gibbs-White was definitely determined to beat his former club, and he delivered during the game.

His goal came off an assist from Anthony Elanga, and he now has six goal contributions since the beginning of December.

Forest will hope that Gibbs-White can maintain his current form and remain in the Premier League’s top four as the season unfolds.

Wolves will not have to face his talent again this season, and it’s fantastic that, following the vile chants, Gibbs-White has stuck it to Wolves yet more.
