Nottingham Forest are expected to be active in the summer transfer season, and another addition might be imminent.

According to John Percy, the Reds are on the verge of signing Carlos Miguel from Corinthians.

Forest are also likely to settle on a deal for New Zealand international Marko Stamenic, who will join Olympiacos on loan for next season.

Nuno Espirito Santo will want to ensure that his squad has a little more quality next season as Forest look to consolidate in the Premier League.

Forest appear to be moving closer to signing another player as they continue to construct their roster.

Nottingham Forest wants Eric da Silva Moreira.

According to reputable Sky Sports Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg, Forest are about to complete the signing of the excellent Eric da Silva Moreira.

The 18-year-old St. Pauli star is said to be interested in a move to Forest, and formal talks have begun.

The player will only cost roughly £1 million, therefore the Reds should be able to complete this transaction swiftly.

Moreira won the under-17 World Cup with Germany and is a client of famed superagent Jorge Mendes.

Last season, the gifted winger made one appearance for St. Pauli in the German second division after spending the previous season with the under-19s.

He scored four goals in 14 games for the younger age group and might be regarded a potential prospect.

Moreira’s signing would signify a dramatic shift in Forest policy.

On the surface, this would be an excellent signing for Forest, and it would signify a strategic shift in the end.

Forest performed well in the transfer market last season, with the exception of securing permanent goalkeepers and loan agreements.

Moreira is young and full of potential, and he would sign for Forest on the cheap with plenty of untapped potential to unearth.

Scouted Football profiled the youngster, describing him as ‘energetic’ and emphasizing his ability to play on the flank or as a wingback.

Forest could surely use another option to battle with Neco Williams defensively on the right, and Moreira appears to be a good fit.

The one drawback, if we can call it that, is that he hasn’t played much men’s football.

However, Espirito Santo can provide him with that at Forest, and Moreira fits the type of profile that the club hopes to attract on a consistent basis.

Brighton’s recruitment methodology is admirable, and Moreira’s arrival would be a significant step forward.
