Nottingham Forest’s strong start to the summer transfer window is expected to continue as they close in on their fourth acquisition.

Nuno Espirito Santo has already welcomed three new faces to the City Ground this summer.

After a rocky 2023/24 season, Evangelos Marinakis has not waited until the summer to reinforce his squad for another season in the Premier League.

Elliot Anderson has already made a big money signing this summer, with Eric da Silva Moreira also joining.

Forest have also added Marko Stamenic to their squad, but he has already been loaned out to Olympiacos, their sister club.

However, it appears that Forest are only a few days away from making their fourth signing of the summer transfer season.

Nottingham Forest is closing in on their fourth summer signing.

A lot can be made about how Forest handled themselves this summer, with the club hoping to avoid mistakes this time around.

Last season, the Reds felt the consequences of their financial wrongdoings in terms of FFP, and they made careful to avoid another points deduction.

Selling Moussa Niakhate and Orel Mangala gave them breathing room in terms of PSR concerns while also allowing them to make their own movements.

And the signings will continue as Forest seek to offer Nuno with a stronger squad for the forthcoming season.

According to UOL, Forest plan to complete the signing of Corinthians goalkeeper Carlos Miguel on Monday.

The Brazilian goalkeeper’s transfer is expected to cost around €4.2 million (£3.5 million) and will be paid to Corinthians next week.

Miguel’s contract will be inked on Monday, after apparently traveling to the United Kingdom earlier this week to finalize the arrangement.

Forest remains interested in signing Sam Johnstone.

Miguel’s signing has been lauded by Brazilians, with one journalist complimenting Forest on acquiring a ‘unbelievable’ goalkeeper.

However, Nuno has had a tremendous issue since taking the position at City Ground.

Despite appearing to be close to signing Miguel in the coming days, Forest are still connected with a move for Crystal Palace’s Sam Johnstone this summer.

Nuno struggled to find his best goalkeeper last season, but it appears he will have plenty of options heading into the new season.
