Nottingham Forest are currently restructuring their team, and it appears that there is significant interest in some of the current crop.
The Reds must ensure that they are well-stocked in every part of the field before the season opener in mid-August.
Forest released Brandon Aguilera yesterday, and the Costa Rica international has signed a permanent contract with Rio Ave.
Odysseas Vlachodimos signed for Newcastle over the weekend as part of a transaction that saw Forest sign Elliot Anderson for around £35 million.
Now, another player has been connected with a move away from the City Ground, which is fairly surprising.
Galatasaray makes £11 million bid for Nottingham Forest’s “fantastic” talent.
According to Turkish newspaper Gala Haber, Galatasaray is interested in signing Nicolas Dominguez from Forest and has made an offer of £11 million.
It’s unclear at this point whether the Reds will contemplate trading Dominguez, who only joined the club last summer.
The Argentine midfielder signed from Bologna for £8.5 million, while Remo Freuler joined the Serie A club on loan for the 2023/24 season.
Dominguez had a promising start in England, scoring three goals and assisting twice in 29 Forest appearances.
Darren Fletcher, TNT Sports’ lead pundit and Forest supporter, dubbed Dominguez ‘amazing’ for his performances last season, and many others will agree.
Forest must maintain control of Dominguez.
Although it would be ideal to gain more money for the next PSR cycle, Forest does not want to shed too many good players.
Dominguez appears to be a solid fit in the current Forest squad, and at 26 years old, there is still time for him to grow.
Danilo, Ryan Yates, and Ibrahim Sangare will compete for a position in Forest’s center midfield.
Elliot Anderson joined from Newcastle, and there is speculation that he may try to establish himself in one of the forward positions rather than center midfield, though he can play there.
With a bid seemingly on the table, Forest have a decision to make over Dominguez.
If they do feel the need to let him leave, it looks almost certain that Nuno Espirito Santo will need to dip into the transfer market.
