Latest Nottingham Forest news as Nuno Espirito Santo’s Reds face Spanish opposition at Pinatar Arena.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s Nottingham Forest club will meet Elche in a pre-season friendly tonight.
The encounter versus the Spanish team concludes the Reds’ training camp in Spain. Nuno’s team has played three games at the Pinatar Arena this summer, and it is their fourth overall.
Forest remain undefeated in their preparations for the forthcoming Premier League season thus far. Wins over Millwall and Chesterfield followed a draw with Sunderland.
New signings. Carlos Miguel, Elliot Anderson, Eric da Silva Moreira, and Nikola Milenkovic have all accumulated minutes. And Milenkovic and Anderson are in the starting lineup this evening.
A back three of Milenkovic, Willy Boly, and Murillo will line up ahead of goalkeeper Matz Sels. Anderson’s return to the starting lineup is a significant boost for the Reds after he was forced off against Millwall in midweek due to a strong challenge. He will play alongside captain Ryan Yates in the center of the pitch.
Neco Williams and Ola Aina will play wing-back. Anthony Elanga, Morgan Gibbs-White, and Callum Hudson-Odoi will lead the attack at the top of the pitch.
So far, Nuno has made dramatic changes at halftime in friendly matches. It’s possible that he does it again tonight.
Forest’s first half XI: Sels; Milenkovic, Boly, Murillo; Williams, Yates, Anderson, Aina; Elanga Gibbs-White, Hudson-Odoi.
