Nottingham Forest interest in ‘diamond’ seen as major positive – Could easily pay his release clause

Nottingham Forest’s interest in Adrián Liso is not a problem for Real Zaragoza and instead something for the Spanish side to be very happy about.

That’s according to El Periodico de Aragon and journalist Sergio Perez, who cover the situation today and how it should be considered a positive by the Spanish side.

He states that the fact a club with the economic potential of Nottingham Forest have their eyes on Liso is not something that has ‘any negative aspect’ for Real Zaragoza.

On the contrary, his belief is that having ‘rough diamonds’ of Liso’s calibre in the squad is ‘magnificent’ and the fact Nottingham Forest and others are watching him is only a sign of how good he is.

He believes that the only thing the Spanish side should focus on is providing proper management to the club in order to continue its growth and achieve their lofty goals.
Interest in Liso is not new; Nottingham Forest has been interested for a while, and Getafe even bid just over €4 million for 60% of his rights this summer. That was refused, with Zaragoza citing the €15 million release clause in his contract.

Of course, Forest are not Getafe, and they are ‘much more strong’ financially. They could easily pay the €15 million if they wanted to, and the Spanish side should be aware of this.

However, the fact that a Premier League side has their ‘eyes set’ on the player has no negative implications for Zaragoza. In fact, owning a rough diamond like Liso is’magnificent’, according to Perez, and should be regarded as such.
