Keith Wyness, the former Everton manager, has believed that Che Adams would be a “top signing” for Nottingham Forest this summer.
Speaking on the latest episode of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, the 66-year-old, who was CEO at Goodison Park from 2004 to 2009 and now runs a football consultancy that advises elite clubs, claimed the Scotland international would add 10-15 goals to Nuno Espirito Santo’s side.
On June 16, Football Insider stated that Forest are attempting to entice Adams to the City Ground in order to enhance their attacking options.
The 28-year-old has left Southampton after his contract expired on June 30, making him free to join any team immediately.
Adams had a great season with Russell Martin’s side, scoring 17 goals and providing six assists in 46 appearances to help them win promotion back to the Premier League.
Che Adams would fit inside the Nottingham Forest system.
Wyness believes the attacker would fit into Nuno’s system because of his off-ball work and goal-scoring ability.
He told Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast that Adams has established himself to be a capable journeyman Premier League forward.
“I believe he will score between 10-15 goals on a good season.”
“I believe Nuno will recognize Adams’ value early on.
“He is the type of busy worker Nuno prefers, thus I believe he fits within the system.
“He may be a great signing since he understands the Premier League and what is anticipated.
“I think that could work out pretty well for Forest.”
