Nottingham Forest will undoubtedly be missing two players for Friday night’s trip to Leicester City, and may be missing three, but will be buoyed by the return of midfielder James Ward-Prowse.
The West Ham player, who is on loan at the City Ground this season, returns after serving a one-match suspension for being sent off in the 1-1 draw against Chelsea.
That kept him out of Monday’s home triumph over Crystal Palace, but the 29-year-old will be available at the King Power.
There is less confidence about Morgan Gibbs-White, who was also banned for his response after getting sent off against Brighton. The Reds captain is technically able to return after missing two games, but he is also hurt.
It is unclear whether he will recover in time to face the Foxes, since Forest manager Nuno Espirito Santo has not revealed anything. Nuno stated on Wednesday: “It is a day-to-day procedure, so we’ll see how he is. He is better today, therefore let us hope he improves even more tomorrow and continues to progress.”
Danilo is still out due to a fractured ankle sustained on opening day, and Ibrahim Sangare has been healing from a hamstring issue for the past month.
City will be without Jannik Vestergaard, Jakub Stolarczyk (foot), Patson Daka (ankle), and Hamza Choudhury (shoulder).
